Alex Carr is a watercolor artist in rural Loudoun County, Virginia.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from Wellesley College.

Alex owns and operates the Alex Carr Art Studio, a spacious working studio with state of the art classroom and business office.


Alex has been represented by galleries in Colorado, New Mexico, Virginia and New York,  and most recently by the  Agora Gallery in New York City, where her watercolors were part of a collective exhibition titled “Portals of Perception”.

A critical review of Alex’s watercolor paintings appears in the spring 2013 issue of  ArtisSpectrum, a New York publication which profiles contemporary art and artists.

These popular “Wine and Watercolor” workshops are a great way for people to explore watercolor painting in a relaxed, rural setting at one of Virginia’s loveliest wineries.

Currently in progress is Alex’s newest project: ART CLASS TO GO.  This mail-order watercolor workshop series is a home-based, self-paced, project-focused, individual watercolor class for beginner to intermediate levels, and is available with or without art supplies included.
